I grew up in a world of improvised songs, animated characters brought to life by my dad, and storylines that pulled me in from books and TV. Storytelling was everywhere, and as a result, my childhood dreams always centered on creativity—actor, author, singer, director. Never the usual suspects, like a doctor or teacher. I just knew I wanted to tell stories that made people feel something.
At one point, I thought that meant scriptwriting in Hollywood. But life had other plans, and eventually, that desire to tell honest, human stories brought me here—photographing real people on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
That storytelling instinct is what drives my documentary style today. I approach each wedding with curiosity, care, and a focus on letting the day unfold as it truly is. I pay attention to the moments in between, and I use what I learn about each couple to craft portraits that feel like them—not just beautiful images, but pieces of a larger story.
